I did something SO GUTSY today. See, before the 30x30 Remix Challenge thingamajig got started, I compiled a list of all the outfits I'd wear during the thirty days. I didn't assign dates or anything, but I thought it would be a good way to make sure that all the items got worn somewhat evenly. Up until now, all of the outfits have come straight from that list, but today, I blazed a new trail and just wore what I wanted. What a thrill. It reminds me of something ... what was that? Oh, that's right: it reminds me of how I used to pick out my clothes. Exciting!
In all seriousness, I am getting a little sick of this 30x30 venture. It's starting to seem silly. I look at a closet full of clothes/shoes and realize that I've intentionally, inexplicably banned myself from wearing most of it. Why, self, why?! I'm going to stick with it for the remaining fifteen days, just to see if perhaps there's some all-encompassing wisdom waiting for me at the other end ... something like, "Less is more."
Although I'm pretty sure that more is more, technically speaking.
Ha! I felt the same way when I did the 30 for 30 in the fall. I felt wasteful for not wearing the rest of the clothes in my closet....or at least I had to face the reality that I own a lot more than I need.
ReplyDeletehahaha, i agree. I will never do the 30 for 30.

I'm starting to be annoyed with the remix too! But I'm going to stick it out to the end...since I've already gotten this far. But I've been realizing that this remix is actually sort of cramping my creativity rather than opening it up.
ReplyDeleteI love your pants in this outfit! And for 56 cents? Impressive! :)

Laughing. Yes, more is more. Very enlightening and so funny. Great outfit. Just think of the post 30 for 30 party you'll be having in your closet. Oh the joy!
ReplyDeleteI love these pants!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sick of the challenge yet, I mean, it's only 30 days, it'll be over so soon! I'm just really itching to go shopping, but that's something the challenge IS good for. I'm saving a bunch of money this month!
Blue Paper Lanterns
I love the color of your pants!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are tiring of the challenge. I think it is different for everyone, but I have to agree with Kimmie above. The thing I miss most is shopping, but the lack of it is GOOD for me!!! :)
Only 15 more to go and then you will be done!
ReplyDeleteLove you outfit and love the pants! New follower and i would be happy if you return the favour by checking out my blog @ http://mylyfe-mystory.blogspot.com
I made a list too! Only about half of my outfits ended up coming from that list, though. Good for you!
